Figure 3023a shows an electron diffraction pattern obtained from [001] Ag0.95Pb15SbTe17 (space group: Fm-3m) with splitting of electron reflections. The splitting of spots originates from the coexistence of two phases with similar but neither identical cell parameters nor identical crystallographic orientation. The phase with the slightly smaller lattice parameter is richer in Ag and Sb atoms, while the phase with the larger lattice parameter is richer in Pb atoms.
