Cryo-TEM (Cryogenic Transmission Electron Microscopy) has many different applications, e.g., minimizing electron beam damage and elemental loss. For instance, for the FeOF/C system used in Li-Ion Batteries, the TEM specimens were cooled to LN2 temperature and imaged with a total electron dose limited to 104 C/cm2. [1]
