Accuracy of EELS Measurement
In summary, to improve the accuracy of EELS measurements, one needs to:
i) monitor and avoid sample drift,
ii) monitor energy resolution,
iii) remove background,
iv) remove dark current,
v) remove channel-to-channel gain variations,
vi) remove the effect of not ideally uniform electron illumination in two dimensional (2D) map,
vii) reduce time-dependence of electron illumination.
