This book (Practical Electron Microscopy and Database) is a reference for TEM and SEM students, operators, engineers, technicians, managers, and researchers.

The CCD binning process affects spatial resolution, sensitivity, SNR, and frame rate of the imaging sensor. In the n × m binning mode as shown in Figure 3966 (for details, click here), the spatial resolution of the CCD decreases n times in vertical and m times in horizontal directions.

represents an original pixel before binning and the blue region represents a pixel after binning.
