Figure 2782 shows the EEL spectra of potassium(K)-doped carbon(C) nanotube bundles with different nanotube diameters ranged from 6 to 25 nm. Note that the smaller nanotubes show poor signal-to-noise-ratios. The overlapping peaks originated from two close binding energies of C 1s and K 2p electrons. The peaks at ~285 and 292 eV were caused by the excitation from C 1s to π* and σ* bands of the carbon nanotubes. The peaks at ~297 and 300 eV represent K L3 and L2 spectra.
