In some cases, the bond lengths in amorphous phases of materials can be considerably shorter than in the corresponding crystalline phases, for instance, the bond lengths of Ge(Sb)-Te in GexSbyTez (GST). However, in some cases, the bond lengths in amorphous and crystalline phases are not significantly different, for instance, the bond length of Te-Te in GST.
