The reciprocal lattice of a real lattice (e.g. Bravais lattice) is the lattice in which the Fourier transform of the spatial wavefunction of the original (real) lattice is represented. This space is known as reciprocal space, momentum space or k-space. Figure 3565a shows the real space, while Figure 3565b shows the relevant reciprocal space.
