Automated Color-Based Annotation Classification Using RGB Thresholding in DigitalMicrograph

To accurately classify and analyze line annotations based on color in DigitalMicrograph images, a comprehensive set of RGB threshold conditions was established corresponding to the standard 48-color palette. Each color was identified by sampling the central pixel of its swatch and normalizing the RGB values. Logical conditions in the format (r > x && r < y && g > x && g < y && b > x && b < y) were defined with a tolerance margin to account for slight variations in rendering. These conditions enable automated identification and categorization of annotations by color, which is critical for quantitative measurements and statistical analysis in image-based data processing workflows. An HTML table listing all color names and their respective RGB conditions was generated to facilitate integration with scripting environments.
