| There are some advantages of electron diffractions comparing with other techniques, e.g. the X-ray diffraction method. For instance, in the investigation of complex misfit structures, the electron diffraction observation in TEM is very important since it usually shows the presence of satellite reflections which are often too weak to be seen in X-ray diffraction patterns.
