Practical Electron Microscopy and Database

Figure 4330 shows the number of publications based on electron microscopies (EMs) per year. In 1992 the number of publications step-increased because of the application of Schottky FEG electron guns. It is also interesting to highlight the change of the number of the publications in the last three years. Because of the application of C_s correctors in electron microscopes the number of publications dramatically increased in 2010, while it dropped back in 2011 even though the overall number of the EM-related publications continuously increases. Note the appearance of publications based on C_c-corrector has not been significantly increasing in the past three years.
